I made a new friend today...a beautiful red dragonfly. I was sitting by the lake pondering & it appeared landing on the deck in the same spot every so often leaving and then returning to its spot. After about 20 minutes I decided to go fetch my camera. As I returned I began to slowly slowly maneuver myself closer & closer trying to get a nearer pic. After about 5 minutes it just left its spot, flew next to me and sat right there as if saying “here let me make it easier for you.” I laughed. Here I was making it such a task sneaking & all along it didn’t care. I then put the camera down & enjoyed its company for the rest of the time I remained on the deck pondering and writing. I actually walked and sat further away and it came flying and landed next to me again, occasionally flying over the lake. Dragonflies are one of my favorites and come to me a lot. I named it παρηγοριά (comfort).
